In the attempt to be a good strength coach, i feel like i should try everything and learn about everything. One piece of the strength world i've never delved into is powerlifting. I don't know how to train for it, nor have i ever competed in a meet. So i decided to compete in a meet, found one in January, and found someone to help me train for it. This blog is going to serve to chronicle how i train for it and show my progress as i train up until the meet next January.
Current Maxes:

Notes: Felt strong, main and assistance felt easy, but dont want to jack up volume quite yet because i know im at a lower percentage to build a good base for the following 3 weeks of the cycle. Its hard not to want to load the bar as heavy as you can handle because you just want to get strong, but i have to be smart and stick to my program, not try to crush myself every day.
