Last 10x10 on squats. Ever. By ever, i mean at least until next summer / fall. Praise sweet Baby Jesus. Honestly, these 2 months have been really rough physically. I would have never looked at 210# on a bar, or 165# when i started my first week of squats, and said this is going to be hard. I came out of a meet squatting 300#+ multiple times a week in training and maxing in the 400s, so breaking down to 165# was almost a joke to me at first. After 5 sets it wasn't a joke anymore. My legs were literally unlocking involuntarily and i was just catching myself under a bar. The first week i was completely broken, and that's an understatement. I remember texting Matt in Iceland about if i should dead-lift or not because i was literally concerned my quad was going to tear it was so tight. I wouldn't say i'm overly cautious when it comes to training through pain either. I back squatted 315# for 5x5 3 days after slicing the tip off an appendage. I'd say that over the past 2 months i've built a much stronger base to build a much higher total, and that was the entire point of the block. Get stronger, get faster, fill my holes and fix some problems, and prep my body to handle some heavier weight.
