Notes: Well, today i hit the biggest PR i ever have on the biggest and most important exercise ever, the squat. I was literally amped up from 7 this morning until 3 when i went for it. I could envision every part of it- the anticipation, listening to my music, wrapping my knees and tightening my belt, measuring my grip on the knurling, feeling the bar on my back. I never once thought i would fail though. The whole time i saw myself from the 3rd person, i knew it would be a grind and i could see myself struggling, but i wasnt going to let 405 go without a serious fight. Worked all the way up, wrapped up and put my belt on, took it out, and did it. 37 pound record for about 2 months of training. Words cannot describe how excited i am about this.
Matt brough a speed tool today to measure exactly how fast im moving the bar on my assistance exercises. Basically im not moving it fast at all. So we dropped weight and i focused on literally pulling as fast as humanly possible. Cool stuff, but not easy.
I know that there are literally thousands, maybe millions of people who can squat 405, some for reps and completely raw, but that doesn't matter one bit. Its not about who else can do what. I am my own person, and the only thing that matters is that im earning my 1%, every damn day.
